Jedi, Transylvanians, vampires, zombies, and superheroes land in Texas at Fan Expo Dallas 2017

With still two weeks before Fan Expo Dallas opens its doors on March 31st, the convention is stirring up quite a lot of excitement with its guest lineup. Stars from horror, fantasy, and science fiction are descending for meet-and-greets, photo ops, and panels over the three day weekend event. Single-day, deluxe, family, and kid passes can be purchased along with premium and VIP packages on the Fan Expo Dallas website now.

Arguably, the guest that fans are the most excited about meeting is the multi-talented Mark Hamill, the man whose minutes-long appearance at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens nearly broke the internet. He will be interacting with his fans for all three days of the convention, and Fan Expo Dallas has arranged for two special packages just for us. The Mark Hamill Live package will be split into three levels, with the gold jedi level to include priority seating in his presentation, an autograph, and photo op with the man himself. The Batman and Joker Live package will include a presentation with Hamill and Kevin Conroy and a limited pre-signed The Killing Joke print.

The one-and-only Stan Lee is also scheduled to appear at Fan Expo Dallas this year. With his recent cancellation at Big Apple Comic Con for health issues, fans will have to keep the prolific creator in their thoughts until the con. If he does make it, he will be doing both photo ops and autographs with his fans.

Fan Expo has already delighted fans by bringing veteran stage and screen actor Tim Curry in for a rare appearance, and has now added fellow Rocky Horror Picture Show castmates Meatloaf, Barry Bostwick, Patricia Quinn, and Nell Campbell. Although not out of the realm of possibility that Susan Sarandon could appear as well, but with the actress busy with her new series Feud, we’re not holding our breath. Maybe we’ll get lucky and end up with a cast panel that includes the Time Warp? Either way, Fan Expo Dallas is offering limited VIP packages for Mr. Curry and photo ops with the cast, so if you love RHPS, now is the time to purchase one!

As we previously reported, the unbelievably hot Salvatore brothers of The Vampire Diaries, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder, will be checking out the scene during their visit to Fan Expo Dallas. However, many fans will be excited to discover that the convention is bringing some of the original Buffy: The Vampire Slayer cast to celebrate its 20th anniversary! Eliza Dushku, James Marsters, and Charisma Carpenter have all been confirmed for the weekend, and we can only hope Fan Expo Dallas is working on the last minute addition of Sarah Michelle Gellar. It will be amazing to listen to the cast reminisce about their memories and experiences on set! Photo ops are already available for purchase here.

As if vampires and vampire slayers are not enough to please us, Fan Expo Dallas will also be bringing in some zombie killers too! The Walking Dead’s very own Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Norman Reedus, and Khary Payton have already been announced as part of the lineup, so only time will tell who else might be joining in the fight. Be prepared to see your fair share of wire-spiked bats, zombies, and requests to kill and be killed by Negan during photo ops. We can’t wait for the cast discussion of what’s coming up for season eight of the show!

For sci-fi fans, the fun doesn’t end with just Star Wars. The increasingly popular Doctor Who will be touching down its blue police box in Dallas as well. There is only one other person outside The Doctor who can bring Alex Kingston, Catherine Tate, and Karen Gillan together, and that is Captain Jack Harkness himself, John Barrowman. All will be present con weekend, and there’s still time for Fan Expo to announce one more time traveler, so fingers crossed! The DW crew will be joined by fellow space travelers Firefly and Powerless actor Alan Tudyk and Star Trek‘s Karl Urban, both of whom are known for hilariously entertaining panels of their own!
