“If we’re lucky enough to get season four – and I’m hoping – I’m going to say that the overarching theme will be sacrifice.”
We had a chance to kick off SDCC 2017 with one of our current favorite shows on television. Freeform’s brought the cast and creator of Stitchers for a panel and autograph session on Thursday, July 20th. Stitchers follow Kirsten Clark, a highly intelligent and persistent computer science student with the ability to hack into the minds of the recently deceased. Recruited into a covert government agency to be “stitched” into the memories of the dead, Kirsten and the Stitchers team investigate murders and solve mysteries.

During the panel, SDCC attendees were given a sneak preview of Stitchers 3X07 “Just The Two Of Us,” along with the discussion of the past, present, and future of Stitchers. We also had a chance to chat with executive producer Jeff Schechter and series stars Emma Ishta, Kyle Harris, Ritesh Rajan, and Damon Dayoub and pick their brains on the most important questions – the fun ones!
Jeff came by and visited with us first, and his cheerful enthusiasm had us smiling from minute one. When asked who was the geekiest on the writing team, he answered
“At the risk of sounding self-serving, I am the uberest, geekiest of all the writers. I usually do the last pass on every script, and that’s where a lot of the references go in…I’m sorry guys, but I’m the head geek.”
When we talked with Ritesh and Damon, we asked the guys what Linus, Cameron, and Fisher would do to take the edge off a stressful day. Ritesh stated that
“I feel like we would, uh, we’d hit up the happy hour, play games, go to a sporting event.”
Damon adds,
“Fisher loves the theatre…he’s a theatre buff. He’s much more sophisticated than you think.”
Of course, Stitchers wouldn’t be a show without Emma and Kyle, the topic of his hair came up. We know that Kyle’s hair is a running theme/gag with both the cast and the show, but we wanted to know who else on the show has a great hair game. Kyle replied,
“Tim. In between seasons he [Cameron Britton] had to cut his hair, but before that his hair was so full and long that even I had hair envy. He would always tried to do a hair flip on camera.”
Emma agreed immediately, although both were quick to say that Ross Kurt Le, who plays Alex on the show, is quite the charming Australian!
There’s, even more, jokes and surprises when it comes to our full cast interview, so feel free to check it out below!
