Syfy’s Ghost Wars: When the Paranormal Fights Back
“What happens when the paranormal declares war?”
Syfy‘s Ghost Wars is the story of a haunted Alaskan town and the one man trying to save everyone. The SDCC Q&A was moderated by executive producer Michael Frislev and featured cast members Vincent D’Onofrio, Kim Coates, Avan Jogia, Kandyse McClure, and Meat Loaf Aday along with showrunner Simon Barry and executive producers Dennis Heaton and Chad Oakes.
Roman (Jogia) is a reluctant psychic battling the supernatural forces trying to destroy the remote Alaskan town of Port Moore:
“Local outcast Roman Mercer must overcome the town’s prejudices and his own personal demons if he’s to harness his repressed psychic powers and save everyone from the mass haunting that’s threatening to destroy them all.”
Kandyse McClure plays Landis, a scientist:
“I enjoy the intersection of science and spirituality. It makes you question what you believe and why you believe what you believe.”
D’Onofrio warns that when the hauntings start:
“Everybody changes and is affected. Good people get really good and bad people get really bad.”
Ghost wars is loaded with horror and gore and not for the faint of heart.
